adding LED to a printer

Post by MatPhillips » Sun Jul 09, 2017 4:10 pm

Many thanks to Tom for putting up the video on this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb3hrjEiE3s

Now, he mentions to discuss this in this forum, but there's no thread link in the description and "LED" is not accepted as a search term, so if a thread has already been started, please to let me know where it is!

Sone example connections were given, but none for the Rambo Mini used in the Prusa i3. So would anyone know which four pins I can use on this board?

well, not quite the "use pin 1" type answer I was hoping for, but its a start.
I've a geotechnical 2560 board on the slow boat to repair the clone, so I guess I'll just add the lights to that for now and see how I like the affect.
Thanks.

Okay, I am a newbie and I would like to add RGB lights to my mk2s. I'm having trouble deciding which mosfet to use or if it will even work or not. Will this mosftet work that I picked out? also a wiring diagram for the RGB lights would be super helpful. Any help would be great.

If this mosfet wont work which one should I get for the RGB lights. or am I better off making one like Toms?
