High-quality belts?

Post by Aziraphale » Wed Dec 13, 2017 10:18 am

I'm planning to rebuild my Dolly printer soon, as I've reprinted all of the printed parts with much more quality than the crappy parts I got via 3DHubs. Most of my printer uses high-quality components (genuine E3D v6, Mk42 bed, motors and extruder gear from E3D as well, genuine BL Touch, etc.) and I'd really like to get high-quality belts to go along with that, rather than sticking with the questionable/unknown-quality of the belts I got straight from China which have visibly stretched and loosened in just six months.

E3D have their GT2 Belt Upgrade product, but does anyone have any experience with that - is it actually any better? I'd hope so at the price they want for it (£10 per metre!) but I'm pretty clueless in this area :(

Are there any other options I should consider?

Thanks :)

Ther is p much no difference between a cheap fiberreinforced belt to a pricy fiber reinforced belt for a 3d printer
