Makerfarm printer Z-Home wont hold

Post by mavrik12 » Sun Sep 02, 2018 1:47 am

So first a description of the problem.
I will home my Z-axis and make sure everything is calibrated to the right spot. I will print 4-5 level test adjusting the bed to perfect the level. Then I will start the 6th bed level test the Z-Home is 2-10mm off of what it has been the past 5 tests. Then when I try to home after that one of the Zaxis motors starts to get loud and seize up because it's higher/lower than the Second stepper. If I manual recalibrate the Z-axis and home everyhing I can get the thing to print again but my bed leveling is off.

I have been trying to fix this for 2+ weeks now and can't figure out what's up.

Info:
Printer: Makerfarm Pegasus 12
Board: Ramps 1.4
Firmware: Marlin1.0.2
Rods: ACME dual Z rods/steppers

update I wired my Z steppers in series opposed to parallel and it fixed the problem.
