3d printed immortality?

Post by GeekyRaptor » Thu Jun 15, 2017 10:44 pm

Perhaps trying to be immortal might be possible with 3d printing? I am probably not the the first or last person to think of this as 3d bio-printing becomes easier and more accessible to more people. Would it be too much to say that in the near future we may be able to prevent aging by using stem cells from our fat to print ourselves replacement livers, kidneys, hearts etc. ? Anyone think this is a good idea?

It's a bad idea IMHO. We are on the road to overpopulating the planet as is, many say we're already populated beyond return. Already this year there have been 25 million births and only 10 million deaths. One could say that the need more deaths, or less births, or both.

Probably cancer cells are nice little people who only want the bast for their kids. They breed and grow and prosper, from their perspective the future is glorious but we know what happens in the end. From the earth's perspective, we are cancer.
