Re: Which proximity sensor to use???

Hey guys, I thought I would reply here as I have an issue with my sensor and you might be able to help me a little bit: I have this sensor https://www.aliexpress.com/item/M8-2mm-sensing-DC-5V-NPN-NC-LJ8A3-2-Z-AX-5V-cylinder-inductive-proximity-sensor/32845574901.html and while it's supposed to be es...

Re: Yet another TMC2130 problem

Ok, max speed on Z was just too fast.
Also, I seem to need 700 mA as the X skipped a few steps on the first print.

Re: Yet another TMC2130 problem

Hi Stefan, OK! A new, weird issue that I need to investigate the next days: First, my steps per mm on the Z were half the amount that they needed to be, which caused my first 2 test prints to fail after a few layers (obviously I noticed something was wrong and stopped the machine). After I then doub...

Re: Dolly Build

Hi Stefan, Yes, very true! Good quality, good support and on most stuff good prices. I'm thinking about getting one of their kits in a few months (save up a bit of money); they basically sell full MK2 / MK3 kits but as a kind of improved Haribo model AND with better parts than what Prusa ships (ever...

Re: Yet another TMC2130 problem

Hi Stefan, thanks!
I'll try that out. Now they're 700 but let's see what happens with 50 less :-)
Do you use 650 on the Z as well?

Re: Yet another TMC2130 problem

Hi Dave, The 2130s don't seem to be too quiet if you tell them to go 10mm. I thought I'd done something wrong when I first installed them. They are much quieter when actually printing. Also, bring the current down as much as you can. -Stefan Oh hi Stefan, I apparently didn't get a notification for ...

Re: Dolly Build

Hello Stefan, The carriage is finally installed (did take a while because the "first one" was bent so I had to send it back etc.) and it fits perfectly fine & looks great too :D I have added a post to my blog and will upload 1-2 photos later! I'd buy it again, especially since it's not really more e...

Re: Dolly Build

Hello Stefan,
Sure I will do that!
I'm documenting my build on my blog: unixb0y.github.io/blog and there you will probably find a longer review with photos etc :-)
Also, I should add the category "review" to the posts where I speak about components that I bought, thanks for that implicit "hint" ;)

Re: Dolly Build

I've ordered the Zaribo carriage, let's see how it goes!
Yeah I know, right but I figured now it's almost 300 bucks anyways and I got that nice aluminium frame in black with black extrusions, now I can as well get that thing for 30 bucks shipped

Re: Dolly Build

Hello Stefan, Thank you for your quick reply. What do you think about the price? Is it OK or could I find it somewhere in Europe (not China because of the shipping time) for cheaper? I also plan to mount on standoffs (they were included in my cloned MK42 heatbed) and use mesh bed leveling in Marlin ...
