Re: Great Filament for RC Controlled Planes and Drones

I wonder if this question was related to the recent video Prusa released with a small printed drone ;)

Re: Great Filament for RC Controlled Planes and Drones

TPU wont be suitable even for FPV Racers. What you need is maximum stiffness with low weight. You can use PLA or PETG as the design will influence the thermal abilitys and motors shouldn get hot as well if a correct layout is used. That might be different for FPV. You ideally want to look at a combi...

HullK - large format polar printer

Hi community, I´m at a project now for some time that may interest you. Inspired by the hangprinter and the thoughts about printing larger objects, triggered my interest in building one. The problem for me was that I didn´t had the space for the anchors and wanted the capability to print big on a sm...

Re: Polar printers

Hi, I´m currently working on a big polar printer and found klipper to be a good alternative to bypass the limited 8 bit processing or the huge file size of converted code. Kevin, the lead developer kindly wrote a demo code for polar printers a few weeks ago. There is still much to do but it prints v...

Re: Recycling

Very important and I think that recyling is in our hands or in some smaller recycling stations.

Thats the best project I came across. It´s practically a complete recycling plant you can build yourself. I´m going down that route too soon.

Re: raise-d³ printer

Thank you! Yeah it is a bit of a different approach I fond it to be very practical as well. :)

Project is now on github as well. https://github.com/BKLronin/raised3

Allthough the self hosted gitlab offers the same functionality.

Re: raise-d³ printer

Finished! Well as finished as a design can be :P I tested the design a few months now and there are some minor improvements on the new tensioning system I currently work on but in general I would call it finished. Prints are quiete good compared to linear rail printers. The main advantage from an ad...

Re: Hanprinter build at Trinamic - Feedback

I like the abillity to print huge stuff that would be difficult otherweise. This will help with some projects. I´m still a bit holding back mainly because I´m not sure where to mount it yet. The main thing that came to my mind when seeing the build was having the steppers and electronics on the grou...
