depends on your printer prusa style etc. prox sensor would be mounted on the print head and it would take multiple test to the print bed and calculate how far it is from the bed. best to be 0.05 from the bed for best results.

Hi, I came across a Teco imaging systems 3d printer, which I found out by digging through it.
