Re: First print problems with my brand new dolly (i3 clone)

Added G29 and M420 S1 to benchy.gcode.. Fiddled a bit with the (clone?) pinda sensor and had to alter extruder a bit since hobbled gear did grind on the printed part. Now ordering pronterface to extrude 30mm extruded ~30mm. Give or take fractions. Drove several layers on the benchy (damn night and v...

First print problems with my brand new dolly (i3 clone)

Well, now that I've conquered other problems with building the printer, I've got to point where I should be able to print something and I've come across new problem(s). Splicing benchy in Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.41.1+win64 with pretty much untouched Prusa I3 MK2S settings. I'm using Fiberology EASY P...

Re: Yet another Dolly builder.

This orballoprinting stuff starts to derail off-topic (imho), but I did try to send them email - which (today when I managed to catch Hugo at chat) he claimed to have responded.. Nothing on my email client showing (accounts / folders / ALL wide search with "orballo" yielded total 2 mails, paypal rec...

Re: Yet another Dolly builder.

Thankfully, that site Mooviper suggested above for that somewhat better looking ramps board, had cheap cartridges so I ordered one up and cross my fingers I get it by Friday.. Not to mention there were Pinda (legit? clone?) probe too which I hastily ordered wrong type/size originally for the printe...

Re: Yet another Dolly builder.

As you mentioned, hot end cartrige depends on a designed power (30 to 40W) should be about let's say from 3.5 to 5 ohm. Yep. The shoddy chinese quality strikes again and claims another victim. Should have suspected something when I noticed the cartridge had some dents on the end. And certainly shou...

Re: Yet another Dolly builder.

If your heated bed have realy 0.7 Ohm (it can be correct) in a circuit, according to ohm's law it must drains more then 17 Amps (17.14 to be precise) which is more then your 16 Amp power source can handle for a long time... and it is also a hell of a current for most chinese mosfets (and fuses, res...

Yet another Dolly builder.

I have been longtime fan of getting myself a 3d printer but they were way too expensive usually. Then I stumbled upon Tom's youtube vids on dolly. Big cheers for those :) Anyhow. Now that I have finally managed to scrape all the pieces and build the damn thing, I seem to have hit a snag.. When I tri...
