Re: Wanhao i3 Plus firmware

Are you running any other software that could be talking to the printer? Pronterface, or the Arduino IDE, for example?

This was my first attempt at using PETG. I've only had experience using PLA before.
It kinda looks as if you printed this with PLA settings?

What were your printer settings (particularly hotend temperature) for this print?

the print head just diggs into the print bed when it prints
Do you mean that it immediately hits the bed when it homes, or does it do so only when the head moves?

Can you upload a picture or movie of what exactly happens?

Re: Favourite filament?

I'm ordering a lot from eumakers these days, simply because they have an amazing color selection. Their bright colors are really, really bright and look amazing, but they also have a huge range of more muted, natural colors. Their spools are an odd size, but somewhat weirdly, they send a small spool...

Re: Cura Stringing/Retraction issues

So my first Bowden prints are still ok, but quality dropped a bit. I'm getting some blobs, sometimes in the middle of a long outer wall but mainly on the edges. If the problem is getting worse over time, it might not be a retraction or temperature issue. Maybe your hotend is leaking. Make sure that...

I've added a note asking Prusa to sign my frame, and he did, so chances are good :-)

Tom has affiliate links on his YouTube videos. So that's probably a good place to start :-)

Re: strange movement on dolly i3

Yeah, it looks like one of the axes - either x or y, can't tell from the picture - doesn't track properly. I'm going to assume that the picture's x and y axis are the same as your printer's. When the print moves in the x and the y-axis (relative to the picture), the print head initially only moves i...
