Re: JASP - load cell spool holder

that's a neat idea, watch out though, spool weights vary, and not always the filament weight is absolute, can be 20 grams off at times!
neat idea though, keep us posted

Re: 3D Printing Effects on your Health

ronin, yes, it can

And as far as I am aware petg is the only filament that doesn't release nano particles...

Also I have a slight suspicion this is an advert taking advantage of the userbase here...
If you're worried you could simply put your printer in a large plastic bag

Favourite filament?

Out of curiousity, what are some of your people's favourite filaments? And why?

Mine are Colorfabb's PLA/PHA(so nice to print with, wondering how it will do with the diamond hotend mixing) and Polyalchemy's Elixir Blend(looks sooo nice! and its strong, a pain to print with if your temp is 3c off)

Re: 3mm vs 1.75mm Filament?

As stated above, unless youre gonna do bowden with flexible or you buy your filament by length, there's no real difference between the two, 1.75 seems to be more common though...

Re: Stringing Support Bridging

Sadly stringing is too weak, but maybe creating lines at 50% extrusion could create the desired effect, but the points where it touches the part would have terrible finish.
However, more printers on the market are supporting dual extrusion, leading to dissolveable support being more common...
