Re: Creality CR10 Max vs Tevo Little Monster

There are plenty of people doing this type of business with a hobby machine. Don't be discouraged. Many people are getting great results with the CR-10 lines of printers making really cool props and cosplay gear and you can too.

You will never regret building a printer from scratch. You learn so much more that way than with any kit. I applaud you.

Re: Drawing thin lines

Making holes the correct size is a tough one. I have never managed to design parts that consistently print holes with the dimensions that I specify. In the end I just assume I will have to drill them out. Sorry if this isn't much help.

Re: TOM's i3 Dolly Prusa MK2 scad

Haven't done it myself but there is at least one thread (google) that talks about using inkscape to modify the dfx files to dfx files that openscad can read. The inkscape plugins for this are on thingiverse.

Re: Just ordered my first printer. What to do until it arrives?

If you program then OpenSCAD may be to your liking. Check out thingiverse and other free model sites for stuff to print. Check out Cura and Repetier Host. Read about Octoprint.

Re: New mainboard and what to choose ?

RAMPS is an old design that works very well. It is a good choice if you are on a budget.

Re: Polar printer

They look fun to build and watch but I can't see an advantage.
