Dan3008 wrote Can i ask something? Is needed to print something like the printer pieces on 100% infill? Isn't it an overkill? What are suggested setting for something like a prusa i3 mk2 plastic parts? I asked Tom the same question on twitter as I am in the process of making "Dolly" and the answer ...

Re: All my prints fails

I had the same problem with my wanhao duplicator i3 plus, I replaced the nozzle, calibrated extruder, did a p.i.d. Tune and after nearly going insane replaced the nozzle again and presto. I was right the first time it was a clogged nozzle but the first replacement nozzle was rubbish and the next on...

Re: Well, This Happened

I figured out what caused it. For some reason on default settings cura was forcing way to much filament through. It was kind of odd. Considering it always worked fine before, there weren't any of the usual signs like extruder stepper motor stalling. But it was doing it to the extreme. I cut the ext...

Re: DIY 3d Printer, options?

Ok, now for my first daft question. Heated or non heated build plate? I actually only want a relatively small build plate (I'm thinking 100mm^2). This seems to be a tricky heated bed to find. I didn't really want to mess about with having a custom bed fabricated :/ So, the way I see it, I've got 3 ...

Things to think about if you are going to buy a Anet A8

Problems with the Anet A8 1. To call the PSU cheap and nasty would be being polite No Quality control on the PSU in mine it had Dry solder joints and wasn't earthed to the Case. 2. The PSU is only 20A 12V throw it away and get a Good 30A 12V one. 3. You need to put an IEC connector with a fuse and s...

Re: What kind of print defect is this?

I know you said when you use slic3r didn't do the defect, but I've got a feeling it May have something to do with the printer more so than the slicer. I would try printing a A wall, around the size (height and width) of where the defect is place it on the same place on the printer bed to see what ha...
