Re: SLA / DLP printing - Beginner help needed

Unfortunarely, i have no answers.. :-( and no printer atm. I returned this one, cause it was "losing" resin. Out of a 500ml bottle, 300ml disappeared into nowhere. I have absolutely no clue how this could have happened - unless the automated pump was leaking and somewhere in its guts is now a resin ...

Re: SLA / DLP printing - Beginner help needed

Hey, glad you joined in. Its only been a couple of days, but yeah, i guess SLA/DLP isn't mainstream yet. 2. It cures with 405nm UV Laser light during the print, post processing instructions suggest additional curing under a UV lamp. I did find out that my printer has a setting to increase laser stre...

Re: What print that can get you into trouble in your country?

Printing a suppressor for a otherwise legal (BB / CO2 airgun "up to 7.5J muzzle energy" - i.e. toys) would get you in trouble in Germany as well. Same is true if you print a mount to attach a laser or a torch to the weaver rail of a toy gun. I am not sure if this applies to airsoft as well. Also, we...

SLA / DLP printing - Beginner help needed

Inspired by Toms Wanhao 7 unboxing, I decided to give it a go with a "moderately" priced SLA printer (UV Laser based). Only to find out: all I learned with FDM printing is next to useless when it comes to SLA / DLP printing. Is there anybody here who could help get me started. For starters, I got so...

Re: Your fidget spinner design

According to Snopes, the combined rotational force of all fidget spinners worldwide will not upset Earths center of gravity.

That's good to know. I still don't get fidget spinners.

Re: Introduction Thread #printcave

@JustinF, watch out.. it starts with just one printer and then they start multiplying. ;-) And since you can build them yourself, i could imagine there's even more temptation to try out something new and different. I don't think i could do one all by myself, i have absolutely no talent for putting t...

Re: Introduction Thread #printcave

Nice to meet you, who's next? Well, ok, since you asked and to keep the ball rolling. ;-) I, too, write code for food (and to support my increasingly expensive hobbies). I'm running a tiny german blog where I ramble on about my experiences with 3D printing (at drucktipps3d.de). Here's my current "p...
