Separate Connected Surfaces does help, also setting the extrusion width to manual: 0.38mm does help

I wanted to print Velociraptor_Business_Card (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:362357), but slicing it with Simplify3D (default settings) gives very strange slicing results. Slicing it with Slic3r gives not problems. I am hoping its a S3D setting, but which one... See here for the stl file https://...

Re: What would be your "perfect" entry level printer?

I bought my first printer a couple months ago after doing a lot of research, here are some of my lessons learned - Cheap printer = lot of tinkering getting good print results, more expensive printer = less tinkering, works better out of the box - 3d Printer is not the same as a 2d printer regarding ...

Option to show all new topics.

On the homepage there is te option Mark forums read, what would also be handy is an option to list all new posts since last visit. And/or perhaps also an option View all unread posts.

I am really missing this, now I am going though all subforums to see whats new.

Re: what features make the expensive printers worth more than the less expensive ones?

There is also a price point 200-500 dollars for the Chinese versions Good question btw, Also curious what people are going to say. What I noticed is reliability and service from the manufacturer. I own an original prusa, I deliberately went for this machine and not a cheaper one because of its good ...
