Re: Calibration Question?

Installing an original E3D V6 Hotend fixed the X & The Y but, the Z is still .2 greater. I also changed the filament to 1.75mm so, does any one have any thoughts on what would cause just the Z to be off in .2mm's height? Thanks

Calibration Question?

My printer is a dolly copy and I'm off in accuracy in all directions by .2mm it could be a 20mm cube or a 50,100, etc.. it's always .2 greater. I got all of my steps off of the Prusa calculator, but I'm not sure that's where the issue is. My question is has anyone else had this issue and if so how d...

Re: Does filament make a difference in dimensional accuracy?

Thanks for the answers, does over extrusion or under extrusion cause the part to be over in the overall dimensions of a part by .2mm? Say if I was going for 20mm wide and turns out to be 20.21mm instead. Thanks again.

Does filament make a difference in dimensional accuracy?

Does filament make a difference in dimensional accuracy? I used some cheaper filament and it seems to be about .2mm bigger on the prints overall dimensions. I'm trying to figure out if it's the settings in Cura or the filament. Thanks for any help.

Where do you get a RADDS board at? Will Marlin work on that or is it just a ramps replacement? Thank You.

Re: Introduction Thread #printcave

@JustinF, watch out.. it starts with just one printer and then they start multiplying. ;-) And since you can build them yourself, i could imagine there's even more temptation to try out something new and different. I don't think i could do one all by myself, i have absolutely no talent for putting ...

Re: Issues with I'm not sure what it's called?

I will check the belts and tighten the screws as it is an inconsistent thing, sometimes it's perfect and it just kind does it randomly.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: PLA Filament very brittle / bad layer bonding

I'm just curious did you built yours from scratch too? I had first layer adhesion issues but slowing it down to 20mm/s fixed the problem for me. I'm not sure if slowing it down would help your problem too but it's worth a try I guess.
