And where did you get the new firmware from?
Also did you check if the endstop on each tower is working?

Acrylic isn't great for printer frame and I would suggest other alternative instead.
If you know local shop nearby that can CNC cut at affordable price then aluminium or wood should be better choice.

Or if you can buy aluminium extrusion easily then CR-10 style frame might be good as well.

If money is no issue then E3D Titan Aero kit with pancake stepper motor is a good choice. Also Bondtech BMG with E3D V6 as well. If you're on a tight budget then maybe use Dolly i3 carriage and buy some cheap MK8 hobb gear with good E3D V6 clone.(You are on your own on this one since clone quality v...

What kind of printer do you use?
Maybe the machanical part isn't tight enough(belt, pulley, bearing etc)
Also extruder step per mm should be calibrate too.

Does the Duet Wifi actually use the feature? The last time I looked in to it, it didn't. Doesn't detect layer shifts either IIRC. I know smoothie can detect a layer shift, but instead of adjusting, it just shuts off the printer. As for the Smoothie V2, I'd honestly be surprised if it ever comes out...
