I followed this tutorial: https://howtomechatronics.com/tutorials/arduino/how-to-control-stepper-motor-with-a4988-driver-and-arduino/ And my motors worked as they should when I took them ou...

Re: help getting the motors moving

Stefan, Can you pretty please upload a picture of the connector on the motor and the place it's plug into on the ramps? That way I'll be able to follow the colors as yours do. I didn't have the time to work on it up to now but I'll have a bit more time in the next few days... If you can that'd be gr...

I left the Z axis for now and looking on the Y axis. the Y axis have the smoothest motion when the motors are not engaged. when I try to run the Y axis it does the same back and forth movement. Re: help getting the motors moving

I actually checked the Y axis since it's going the smoothest of the axes when the motors aren't engaged. I checked the connections from the motor to the Ramps and the continuity check showed the connection was excellent. when I tried moving it, the bed moves erratically.. if I'll solve the Y axis I'...

Re: help getting the motors moving

YES! :) and thank you for sticking with me through the process. About the motors I'll try swapping the motors although I checked continuity of the wires and they appear to be good... I'll check them again just to make sure. And all the movements are being done from the printer, after I'll know every...

ok so it appears to be working.... at least it looks like it's working.... now I've got another problem, maybe you'll be able to point me to the right direction.... When I start the z axis, one of them is moving in the wrong direction for the first time and then it's going right... and it changes al...
