Re: Multi Material Printing Purge Blocks

Hi this is indeed really interesting. There is one problem with this idea if you are trying to print with materials that have different properties - not only different colours. If there would be a possibility of using different models as Purge blocks. You know - something you wanted to print but it'...

Re: Tool for cutting spring steel sheet?

Ronin do you have that PEI in your hands? Isn't it too brittle? I'm asking because I would also like to do the same thing, or better to be able to buy spring steel PEI coated plate cut to my measurements or cut by water jest according to my design. Do you live somewhere in EU? Maybe we would be able...

Re: 500mm x 500mm heated bed

As far as i remember Tom said once https://youtu.be/eure74A9HNc?t=5m15s (an it is consistent with my own calculations) you need about somewhere between 0,6-1W per 1 square centimetre. If You would like to have 50x50cm heatbed it will be whooping 1,5-2,5kW! And I'm using because it is somewhere betwe...

As far as I remember you don't need expansion board to use expansion board pins. Or am I completely wrong?

Re: Tool for cutting spring steel sheet?

If you can find some facility with WaterJet that would be my weapon of choice, and one it shouldn't cost much. I'm planing to do the same for my machine (spring steel + PEI). Just wondering how thick sping steel sheet and how thick/thin PEI sheet should I buy for 400x400mm print area. Any suggestions?

Anyone tried this?

Hi! Does anyone of you tried this : https://www.dold-mechatronik.de/3D-Filament-ABS-175mm-Farbe-schwarz ? Not that particular color but any filaments from dold-mechatronik.de. Re: OpenBuild vs linear bearings

Hmmm... First of all we would need some fluid that doesn't age ( e.g. water would evaporate from water+corn starch mixture, and you wouldn't like to have a year old mixture in a printer). But assuming we would have a suitable fluid I think that I would be able to find some way to use it. If You will...

Re: Azteeg X5 GT 32bit - experiences, remarks, etc.

After 3 months without any replay from Panucatt to my e-mails I resigned. Im not brave enough/don't have enough money to invest in device that will or will not have a support. In the end I will order DUET WI-FI (I think). Replicape also looks cool but... haven't been able to see/read enough tests so...
