Re: problem of reading temp/ problema con lettura temperatura

Ciao Giovanni,

So we understand your problem:
  • The hotend stops heating when in the home position, causing an error message.
  • The bed does not heat.
No smashing the printer. I bet we can help you through this.

Re: Marlin Gaps in print

Hi nuugs, You will definitely find the top/bottom layer adjustments in your slicer. The number of layers is one factor, but you may also consider increasing the temp a little or slight over-extrusion if you want the top to appear more fused. This is going to be a fine-tuning thing specific to your s...

Re: Marlin Gaps in print

MV,

He should probably measure the dimensions of his print and compare them to the expected size. He could also have an extrusion rate issue if the dimensions are correct.

Re: Extruder problem

Hi Dennis, Looked it up: it uses a RAMBo board which is a combined Arduino and RAMPS in one. It is replaceable and well documented depending on your skill and inclination. Probably able to use a basic Arduino/RAMPS which is a bit cheaper (though a few here may yell at me for suggesting it  ). T...

Re: Extruder problem

One additional thought. Swap the motor driver if you can.

Re: Why so many instances of G0 ?

Good question!

Sometimes the hotend needs to get out of the way of the print but cannot travel in a straight line because it would drag through the model. With multiple G0's and no extrusion, the hotend can "circle" around the model and avoid damaging the print.

Re: Extruder problem

Hi Dennis, Thanks for the update. So, the extruder motor will be running on a different circuit than the hotend (and thermistor). If you just replaced the motor and are getting no movement, I think one of two situations are likely: Something has shorted on the control board. The motor's wiring is no...

Re: Extruder problem

Hi Dennis, I'm not an expert on delta printers, but I hope I can help you get a good response to your questions. Specifically, what DOES the printer do and not do. Blowing a fuse by shorting a thermistor is unlikely unless it is on its own low current circuit. A shorted thermistor would read high (o...

Re: Prusa I3 MK3 FAN Whining Noise

Hi BCR, Another possibility is that you just got a fan that is either imbalanced or has bad bearings. You won't know for sure until you replace it. A short term solution might be to edit the beginning part of your g-code to set the fan to full speed. Stuff like this is really irritating, so I feel f...

Re: Cura - I need help with modifying Gcode

A movement command might also be a G1, but I betcha those z movements use G0 as Richard showed.
