Re: Trimmer Line as Filament?

So just update to my question. As I couldn't find a filament store where I could buy 50g probes of Nylon filament I just gave the Trimmer Line a try. For testing I bought 15m 1.6mm for about 3.19€. Calculated up to a price/kg there might be cheaper Nylons but at least a place to start with. Next the...

Trimmer Line as Filament?

Last week I was in our local DIY Store and in the garden section recognized 1.6mm nylon trimmer line, which looked like Filament to me. Back home I googled a bit just to find out that some people have already used those nylon trimmer lines as filament replacement with success. Has anybody already tr...

I've ordered 2 proximity sensor along with my first printer (Anet A8). The sensor are: Inductive LJ18A3-8-Z/BX 8mm Sensor NPN DC 6-36 V Capacitive ...

Re: Where do you all post your STL's nowadays?

As a newbie I started with thingiverse as it is the first place you stumble upon if you are geting into the theme of 3d printing. Only after getting deeper into the topic I checked other plattforms like youmagine or Grabcad. Because at that time I already have registered to thingiverse and started t...

Re: Settings for DasFILAMENT PETG

I changed to the bowden drive is I'm trying to start with Nylon and from all readings Nylon is quite prone to moisture, so with a Bowden I can ensure a fully enclosed way from an air sealed spool box all the way through PTFE tube to the hotend. As for PETG on glass use hair spray to. It's not normal...

Re: Problem compiling Marlin

Ok it seems that the structure uf the u8glib version you are using is different to the one taht is expected by your firmware. Just from the error message in the best case it should be sufficient to change line 12 in sketch/dogm_font_data_marlin from #include <utility/u8g.h> to #include <clib/u8g.h> ...

Re: Filament that is not dissolvable in brake fluid

At least on 2 of my mopeds the brake fluid container is original made out of nylon. As I'm going to use my Printer for some parts for motorcycle repair and restoration I'll do some resistance test with different materials and liquids. Theory is sometimes different. Like PLA should be resistant to Ac...

There's adifference in the include statements For #include "filename" the preprocessor searches in the same directory as the file containing the directive For #include <filename> the preprocessor searches in an implementation dependent manner, normally in search directories pre-designated by the com...
