Re: Mini Rambo vs MKS board?

Disclosure: the modded firmware is mine. I don’t think it really matters what you choose, they are similar boards. You won’t get the 128x64 working on prusa firmware with either board; there’s not enough code space left over and the support for it has long been stripped out of prusa fw. If you reall...

I converted my CTC to an MKS GEN and Marlin, it was a great improvement. Happy to help you if you get stuck.

Re: dolly/prusa printed parts

Print in ABS, or perhaps PETG.

None of them need support. Do everything at 0.2mm layer height, and perhaps 25% infill. Use 3 top/bottom layers and 3 perimeters. Experiment with temperature and your chosen ABS so that you get strong parts with good inter-layer adhesion and still decent bridges.

Re: MK2.5 upgrade Vs MK3 print quality

I think one of the driving reasons for going 24V was the trinamic drivers themselves; they are quieter with more voltage headroom over that required for the motors. The temp sensor in the pinda probe is designed to compensate for the fact that the distance from the bed at which it triggers varies wi...

Re: MK2 Print quality issue on surfaces normal to Y axis

I think that's mechanical. Is your Y-axis pulley on really tight? Is the Y belt holder screwed in tight?

Re: Multi Material Multi nozzle Dolly

The Y size of the prusa is limited by how stiff the rods are. Much longer and you might need to upgrade to 10 or 12mm rods.
