Re: Prusa firmware for RAMPS Prusa i3 clones with MK42 beds

Am i the only one who has quite a lot of issues with the 3.1.0 FW? Ive basically just taken over all my changed values from the 3.0.12 FW and did a full EEPROM reset but i still have two dealbreaking issues: the e-steps seem not to stick. with my Hobgoblin and 32x microstepping i need something arou...

Re: Prusa firmware for RAMPS Prusa i3 clones with MK42 beds

hello slippyr4, I have my printer now finished and it works almost perfectly. I have still one problem , with which I have the firmware in suspicion. Maybe you can help me here too. When heating up the extruder, the heating bed is switched on at exactly 50° C. If the extruder temperature falls belo...

Re: Mosfets vs relays

MOSFETs for DC, SSRs for AC or DC, you can get both.
SSRs are a bit better for higher currents iirc.

Re: MK42 bed clones finally available?

well, mine was bowed up by maybe 1.5-2 mm. without the shortened standoffs i also has a slight flexing issue, but with the shorter middle standoffs it seems compensated. Its only a solution for a few months for me tho, as im going to throw some money at prusa for the mk52.

Re: MK42 bed clones finally available?

How do you power a supply like that? http://www.meanwell.com/productPdf.aspx?i=368 Its a beast, but i got it for 25 Bucks. Its brand new and for 25 €s i figured why not ( and if even as a part source) btw, ive had to shorten the standoffs in the middle of the heated bed to get it to be nearly exact...

Re: MK42 bed clones finally available?

my MK42 from the sketchy IGG-campaign arrived yesterday. its bowed up in the middle, but that might be compensated by tightening down the middle screws Resistance is 1 Ohm, which is perfect (for me at least, i rock a dualPSU setup with a dedicated 24V 20A PSU (tuned down to 19V) for the bed and a 12...

Re: MK42 bed clones finally available?

I have one of the d3di (the indigogo campaign that so many people haven’t received their boards) and also one of the autotronix boards from Norway. Despite being made from the same open source designs, they are different resistances and hence different powers. The difference is almost certainly dow...
