Re: MK2S Molly (Multi Material Dolly) Build Log

Interesting, I had started playing with my stuff long before the final release. So I figured he had gone closer to that had been done in the RepRap blogs and docs. Since its also possible to multiplex PWM signals. Though like i said before most of the arudino mega setups have enough spare pins to al...

Re: Playing with Bearing free Axis's on a printer (UHMW plastic)

Interesting project for sure, does the tape have any elasticity to it to allow to to press fit onto the extrusion? Those skinny arms maybe look like trouble since you said you printed without supports. It seems the only angle you could have printed without support would leave layer lines running pa...

Re: MK2S Molly (Multi Material Dolly) Build Log

Well there is the fact too that they where printing some of the stuff before for the manifolds. If you watch the tolerances of prints closely, even more so on a production high speed printing environment. You find that there are points that tend to end up miss shapen, its far worse with ABS which is...

Hopefully this helps anyone having a hard time understanding what i am talking about, and my design. You can clearly See the UHMW tape in this picture.

Re: MK2S Molly (Multi Material Dolly) Build Log

The original Multi material kit for the Prusa was displayed with a Plastic Quad Y adapter Manifold. However after much testing, Josef Prusa concluded that using a plastic manifold didn't work reliably due to the varying thicknesses of filaments. So the Release version of the kit uses a metal Manifol...

Re: Pocket printer host

I apologize if i am missing the point here but for some reason i am not able to follow your post to well. But if I follow the baseline of what your looking for. Your looking to do is have a small device both be the printer host and display and control interface. If so why not run Pronterface on your...

Re: Playing with Bearing free Axis's on a printer (UHMW plastic)

So after about a week of work playing around with tolerances and parts, and printing problems. I now Have a working Y axis for the new printer. All with UHMW plastic for the surfaces to ride on. Y axis v2.PNG The part even prints without supports believe it or not. The interesting thing is that when...

Playing with Bearing free Axis's on a printer (UHMW plastic)

So I am building a large printer. Started off with the hypercube CoreXY plans but decided for the size I have scaled it too. That a lack of parts and price made it unfeasible. So basically starting from scratch besides a bunch of the similar parts. Mostly lots of Tslot. supercube.png In the process ...

Re: Delta Auto leveling

If your printer is still not level its often an indication that things are off in other places for the printer. Non matching arms, or possibly the frame is tweaked. This can also include large differences in the end stop locations. There is only a small degree of bed leveling compensation that most ...
