Re: Store filament easy and dry - Tom's way

Thanks for sharing. I ordered 2 of these boxes http://www.blokker.nl/nl/blknl/wonen-en-vrije-tijd/opbergen/outdoor-opbergbox/iris-air-tight-box-met-klemgrepen-50-l they ware already airtight. Is it handy to also print from the container? vs storing the filament and getting the role of filament out t...

Re: How to keep your filament safe?

for another spool holder solution, this design (or one of the remixes) seem rather popular.

Re: Autodesk Fusion 3d and Prusa i3

3d cad software and a 3d printer don't have a dependency with each other. Process is 3d cad --> 3d file (stl) --> slicing software --> gcode file --> 3d printer One is for creating 3d models, the other for printing them. Ofcourse not all models can be printed well on a FDM printer, but this has noth...

Re: MK2.5 upgrade Vs MK3 print quality

Re: How to keep your filament safe?

For 645 Glass temp : http://taulman3d.com/nylon-645-spec.html It's under the "Specifications" tab on the top menu. Thanks, there's some conflicting info out there :) Also on their own website http://taulman3d.com/645-features.html states best print temp is 245, but on de specs page they mention 250...

Re: How to keep your filament safe?

The printdry is interesting, but looks just like a food dehydrator, but more expensive. Wonder what benefits it has. Btw, where did you see the glass transition temp for 645 nylon. I couldn't find it on their website, but dit find some specs from a webshop, stating Glass Transition Temp - 68.2°C. Fo...

Re: MK2.5 upgrade Vs MK3 print quality

As an MK2S owner, this is indeed a question I was asking myself. Do I get the upgrade or do I try to sell my MK2S and get the MK3. All the handy bits are included in the upgrade, so that's good, but indeed, what about print quality, that is all that counts in the end. Nice overview upgrade vs mk3s, ...

Re: How to keep your filament safe?

Handy, to start a thread with each youtube video. A forum is much better suited for discussions compared to youtube. Anyway, good video and handy tips. I am trying to dry some taulman Nylon 645 filament, I had it in a food dehydrator for 20 hours at 50 deg C, but it still pops and smokes during prin...

Re: What Simplify3D setting is causing this effect?

Still a bit confused, so the object, or rather the top is not level horizontally speaking? If so, than I understand. But I dont see it when looking at the model unsliced But still strange that other settings also influences this, both are 0.2 layer height. btw, here's the other factory file with the...
