A8 new build with 2 issues

Post by christopher.graham » Thu Jun 15, 2017 2:04 am

First I dropped the bolt that holds the extruder in place and cannot find it to save my life. Does anyone know what size it is? I think it is a hex head M8 but I don't know if that's right or the length...... I bought a generic aluminum extruder, but it won't come till Friday and I am not sure the quality..

Second the cable fell off my heating element. I see 2 inch long nubs. Can I solder those wires back or should I just wait for replacement heaters?

He hex screw that holds the extruder in place on a stock Anet A8 is a M4x6 mm. Hex I think only because you could more easily access than a Phillips screw.
For your second question I'm not sure if I understand it, where did your cable come off. Maybe you could post or link a picture

I will try to get a picture before I leave and thank you. That will save me a lot of waiting to test.
