MK42 clone wiring help

Post by peters6s » Tue Jul 18, 2017 7:10 pm

I received my MK42 heating bed and need help, I see that i have a place to install the LED which I need search and buy, but I see something say R1 - 1K marked. means that I need find a resistor and solder between the two tabs? or will it work without it? I am building a clone mk2 following Prusa assembly instructions and some videos. I found all parts which are in order and order this Heat bed from Orballo which looks real close to the HB in Prusa units

That resistor is for LED that you want to install, if you don't need LED then you can skip resistor too.

The LED and resistor are just indicators that the bed is powered and are optional.
