thermistor position on the mk42 clone

Post by akku3D » Mon Oct 23, 2017 1:48 pm

Hello,

I have got a MK42 heated bed for ma Prusa clone.
What is the best position for the thermistor?
In the middle of the heating bed are two holes, of which I only use one to mount on the sled.
Dies it make sense to put the thermistor in the other hole and fill it with thermal paste?

This is the silkscreen thats supposed to be on the bottom. The little round circle is where the thermistor goes, it's kapton taped to it.

Actually, on my original bed there was some rather thick and extremely sticky aluminium tape over it, and only then kapton. Im guessing for thermal insulation? When I replaced the bed, I recovered (some of) that tape.
